This week we have started studying Native American culture. We started off with the Sioux Indians who were located around our area on the plains. We have read a variety of books as well as done many different activities in reading, math and social studies that have to do with Native American culture. At the back of the classroom we are mapping out what areas in the United States different tribes were located.
This week is wrapping up the first term of classes. Students were to reach their AR goals by the end of the week. Only about 8 out of 24 students have reached their goals. It might be helpful to have students read at home from their AR books as well to help them reach their goals.
Reminders
Friday October, 21 there will be a Character education assembly to conclude red ribbon week. Thanks to all students who dressed up to support this event.
